Latest Mount Chalmers results shine for QMines - Industry Queensland
QMines has reported an outstanding intersection of 35m grading at 2.88 per cent copper, 0.75g/t gold and 3.3g/t silver at its flagship Mount Chalmers project.
Drilling momentum continues at the Rockhampton region site, where QMines has completed 24 holes totalling 2890m in its current campaign.
This includes 18 diamond and RC pre-collar holes totalling 2351m across the deposit.

The company today released assay results from two diamond drill holes completed as part of the metallurgical and geotechnical drilling program supporting the ongoing definitive feasibility study for Mount Chalmers.
QMines said the intercept returned in hole 26MCRD002 (35m at 2.88 per cent copper from 107m) delivered grades significantly higher than the average resource grade, and higher than those grades predicted by the current resource block model.
Within the 35m intercept was a higher-grade core of 31m at 3.22 per cent copper and 0.83g/t gold from 110m. as well as individual assays of up to 10.45 per cent copper and 9.52g/t gold.
The second hole (26MCDD007) returned 16m at 1.17 per cent copper and 1.58g/t gold from 66m including 2m at 4.22 per cent copper and 5.38g/t gold.
QMines said a further broad zone was returned of 21m at 0.84 per cent copper and 0.83g/t gold from 89m, including 5m at 1.52 per cent copper and 1.09g/t gold.
"A 35m intercept at 2.88 per cent copper with gold and silver is an excellent result from a hole drilled primarily to provide metallurgical material for the definitive feasibility study," QMines exploration manager Tom Bartschi said.
"We deliberately drilled into an existing resource position, but the copper grade returned in 26MCRD002 is higher than that represented locally in the current block model.
"That makes the result useful on two fronts. The new drilling provides additional information for the mineral resource update, while the same mineralised core is already at ALS Burnie undergoing comminution and flotation work required for the DFS.
"Individual samples above 10 per cent copper also demonstrate the tenor of the higher-grade parts of the stringer system.
"The assays indicate that visual logging may understate the proportion of copper-bearing sulphides in parts of the zone, and the mineralogy and flotation work now underway will determine the sulphide assemblage, liberation characteristics and metallurgical response."
